When I was at Emory, before I was thrown out of one department, I was forced to buy my textbooks at a feminist bookstore, Charis Books, that was plastered with the slogan "if you're white, it's not alright." My green money was OK though. I was later forced to spend hours in another department learning that teaching composition was racist (hilariously, the course was "Teaching Composition") and even how black graduate students were being oppressed by being offered too many tenure track jobs (which the vast majority of white students in the humanities had no hope of getting by then).
