Above is Michelle Smith of Milly in her Manhattan apartment, as featured in Elle Decor Magazine. Classic and whimsical were the two key words Smith used to describe what she and her husband were aiming for when renovating and decorating the apartment. I think you can really see that in the way traditional elements, like the fireplace, are highlighted and maintained, and in the punchy accessories - bright flowers, paintings, fixtures, wallpaper - that are distributed throughout the apartment. Lovely!
