Inspired Fashion Wallpaper

Lately, I've been busy at work and lacking the motivation to blog. In the evenings I would sit down but would be devoid of inspiration. Then Pink Wallpaper came into my life this week, an excellent blog which has beautiful images of both fashion and decor. I went through about a years worth of posts this weekend and these are my favourite fashion images. It got me going through my closet and trying to re-work pieces to create new outfits. Fall Booties

I didn't bite the bullet when I saw these booties yesterday, but I will be buying them for fall I am sure. They are so perfect, just sitting at the ankle and with a low heel. Sam Edelman Petty Booties, available here.

Weekend Fashion and Decor

After seeing this print called "An Empty Belly" on The Marion House Book, my mom bought us both a silk screened print, signed by the artist, for Christmas. She just had hers framed and below is the final product! Isn't it lovely?!

I had some wonderful professional news this week and I feel like a milestone reward is in order. These Loeffler Randall boots - on sale - are calling my name, although I'm sure I will take my time in deciding what, if anything, is appropriate to spoil myself with.

Next, I am apartment hunting, as my current apartment won't be available for renewal, and I love looking at these dreamy kitchens on The Marion House Book while I fantasize about a new place.

I love Blair Eadie's looks, and especially this one on the left. I am often drawn to leopard print flats and the red of her coat really pops.

Cooler Weather

The Riley Zip Boot from Loeffler Randall has been posted before, but it's worth posting again. It is in fact my dream boot (especially in this chestnut colour) but alas too expensive for me to justify these days.

This tweed parka from Madewell looks like the perfect Fall/Winter transition piece. I'm still trying to pretend it's not getting wintery by wearing my Lululemon Rain Jacket. Brrrrrrr.

I love this blanket from Pendelton - cozy and classic. Since I'm usually whining to someone about being cold, this might be a worthy investment!

Fashion Therapy

I had a terrible day yesterday and woke up still moderately distressed by it. Not really stressed, but almost like a stress hangover. I needed to get my morning fix of something beautiful and pleasant before heading out the door to work. Here's what I came up with.

Abigail Spencer - featured on Vogue Daily as Who's That Girl - made her strong impression in (what I like to call) Clark Kent glasses. The company, Super , also makes sunglasses and I adore these:

Cupcakes and Cashmere's Emily - Coach Bag

Loeffler Randall Riley Zip Boots. Beyond cute and wildly justifiable in my opinion right now! Classic colour and style, but just enough edge to stand out from the crowd.

And last but not least, the smiling Coco Rocha always makes my day! She is just so lovely, captured here by Vogue Daily for their Models off the Runway slideshow.

There are a few classic, timeless pieces that are worth making the investment, as they will always be practical and stylish.

Watches:
I don't usually wear a watch, but on occasion I see one that I really love and I get the urge to have one. In most cases, the ones I like are actually Men's watches - with big faces and a leather strap. This one caught my eye today.

A great pair of leather boots can do wonders for any outfit. I like ones that hit at the knee, are closefitting - not too loose or slouchy, but without a heel. These Loeffler Randall ones are great!

Hunters

I absolutely love my Hunter Boots.

In the cold, snowy winters I put on my forest green wellies with thick wool knee socks and then brave the elements in them - as NOTHING gets through!

They are styled in such a romantic way for in this photo. Who would have guessed rain boots could be so chic?! I will have to try this look at the cottage on a warm, dreary day.

Olivia Palermo = Celeb Chic

Olivia Palermo is an interesting character. I don't love her personality - at least the personality that is portrayed on "The City" - but she has a wonderful sense of fashion and style. Her aesthetic is very much like my own and I always look to her for ideas!
