One Chloe Bird

I was delighted today when I saw this Culture feature by Lauren Santo Domingo on Vogue.com.  With the focus being Lake Bell's home, I was surprised when I was even more taken with the beautiful photographs of the actress herself.  I have often commented how gorgeous she is when watching one of my favourite feel good movies It's Complicated.  Below are a few additional photos from the shoot, or see the entire slideshow here.

Above is a photograph, from Habitually Chic, of the new special edition issue of Domino magazine.  I am so delighted that there is a new issue, but moreover I am excited that this one is really great.  I will admit that I was quite underwhelmed with the first Domino special edition.  After such a long wait, I was disappointed that the first new issue didn't really have the feel of the original magazine.  This Best Rooms issue, really improves upon that.  Best of all, this issue featres a look back at some of my favourite home tours - including Rashida Jones, Jenna Lyons, and Laura Vinroot Poole.

Adiabatic Rug has a beautiful pattern and lots of visual interest for an area rug.

Hot pot mats and mittens should be just as pretty as your decor (this is what I tell myself, even though my current ones are ugly and I keep them hidden in the cupboard).  I could change that with these Fiammetta Holders.

I would love to hang this beautiful "A Year In Treetops" Calendar in my kitchen.

Last but not least! The beautiful Verdant Canister would look oh so lovely on my countertop!

The home of Erin Gates and her husband was recently featured on The Everygirl.  It was such a treat to see Erin's personal decor style.   I love her blog The Elements of Style and read it every day. My favourite thing in her house was the elephant table above.  Erin listed some of her sources yesterday, but alas the elephant was a vintage score.  Sigh, I was hoping that there was a bargain fairy on my shoulder and it was miraculously from the American equivalent of HomeSense or something. 

Have you ever checked out Project Nest?  It's a great blog.  At the helm is a couple who have bought a San Francisco Victorian and are completing renovations.  Above is a photo of their home after they had it repainted.
