"I guarantee you that it wouldn't be sewing--anyone who reads my blog knows I have enough accidents where the sewing machine is concerned...I think if I write another cozy it will involve ghosts, but we better stick with the ghost of my cooking grandmother because so far as I know there isn't a sewing gene anywhere in my family tree..."
"Art! I love art to little tiny pieces - naturally, I'm extremely unskilled and untalented - and can peruse art of all sorts, styles and mediums all the day long. So I'd have to use art in some way as the hook. Probably not a gallery, those are usually to posh and upmarket for me. Maybe a little hole-in-the-wall gallery run by an art enthusiast who caters to new and undiscovered artists.
Of course, I have no talent or skill in writing either so it is all imaginary...
"I'm afraid that my hook could not possibly be anything crafty. I'm a disaster when it comes to that sort of thing! It would have to be dog-related, because I've known so many great dogs with weird quirks.
"thanks for a fun post and giveaway! Like some of the others, I"m not crafty... *atall*... and I've been politely asked to never ever again cook... so my cozy mysteries would also have to be dog centered ;)
"Thank you for sharing with us today. I so admire your ability to sew. While I have learned to sew and am proficient at it, it has been noted than when I sit down at a sewing machine entire blocks may be evacuated LOL (not much patience here) If I were to try my hand at a cozy perhaps the hook would be a book blogger who likes to enter giveaways and book related contests :) dz59001[at]gmail[dot]com"
"My idea for a cozy mystery would be a "cowboy" guest range, with a background of the Canadian Rockies. Thanks, for the heads up on her interesting sounding books. Melissa Bourbon, seems very talented WTG. dayleb at telus dot net"
"I have two cats and two dogs--so my hook would have to be something about a mixed animal household. I've been enjoying the Lola Cruz books---so I'd like to try these, too. suefarrell.farrell@gmail.com"
"Hmmm... hook? Something to do with books & cats... but it's already been done -- a LOT! So I'd have to think really, REALLY hard to add a creative twist to it... {puts thinking cap on} [think think think]

My hook has been done by others like Joanne Carl, but I would choose a candy shop because I'd love to do the "research".
