SANTA CLARA, Calif.--December 8, 2017--BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. returns to the stage of history with SOULCALIBUR™VI for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, and STEAM® for PC. Enter into a new chapter of weapons-based 1 vs 1 fighting with returning fan-favorite characters and all-new gameplay systems.

The SOULCALIBUR franchise has been the premier 3D weapon-based fighting series since the original SOUL BLADE released in arcades in 1995. SOULCALIBUR VI retains the series’ signature 8-Way Run movement system, providing super smooth 3D movement, while integrating new gameplay systems such as the exciting Reversal Edge. Reversal Edge enables characters to clash against each other and follow-up with powerful counterattacks based on their opponent’s actions. Challenge the computer AI, compete against friends, or challenge fighters from around the world in high-speed dynamic battles with jaw-dropping visual effects.

Taking place in the 16th century, revisit the events of the original SOULCALIBUR to uncover hidden truths with a diverse lineup of new and returning characters with their unique fighting styles including series mainstays; Mitsurugi and Sophitia.

Pop Icon Hello Kitty and the First Video Game Hero to Chomp Tasty Dots and Pesky Ghosts, Debuting Collaboration at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2017


SANTA CLARA, Calif., (July 19, 2017) – Sanrio, Inc. and leading anime video game developer and publisher BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment today announce Hello Kitty ♥ PAC-MAN, a new collaboration featuring PAC-MAN, the world’s first video game hero, joining forces with supercute global pop icon, Hello Kitty. Developed by Sanrio, Inc. and BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment as a license program, the collaboration kicks-off on July 19th at Comic-Con International: San Diego with a Hello Kitty themed update to the PAC-MAN app available now as a free download on Google Play and the Apple App Store.

Sanrio and BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment will debut its limited-edition Hello Kitty ♥ PAC-MAN merchandise collection at Comic-Con International: San Diego.  Starting on July 20th, the collection will be available at the BAIT booth (#5146), -- and will include t-shirts, caps, socks, tote bags, pins, and a Hello Kitty ♥ PAC-MAN collectible figure set. The design blends the classic arcade pixelated PAC-MAN look with the supercute iconography of Hello Kitty. BAIT will debut an additional version of the collectible figure set at Comic-Con International: New York in October 2017. Additional products will be available at specialty retailers this fall.

Twitch to manage league operations for TEKKEN 7’s official esports organization as part of exclusive multi-year partnership

SAN FRANCISCO & SANTA CLARA, Calif.--May 25, 2017 (BUSINESS WIRE)--Social video platform Twitch and BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc., publisher of TEKKEN7, today announced an exclusive partnership to create the TEKKEN World Tour. In addition to being the exclusive broadcasting platform for this competitive gaming league, Twitch will manage TEKKEN 7 league operations, circuit events, and content on a global scale. The goal of the partnership is for Twitch to work alongside BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment to build the community and infrastructure to sustain long-term growth of the historic fighting game franchise.

The tour kicks off on June 16-18, 2017 at the CEO Fighting Game Championships with additional U.S. based stops in Orlando, FL, Dallas, TX, Orange, CA, and more. Participants can register to compete through each partnered event’s registration pages. The six-month season, which runs from June to November 2017, will have a total prize pool of over $200,000 USD. All tournaments will be broadcast exclusively on Twitch.tv/Tekken.
