Wargaming and Mad Head Games Unveil the Brutal Combat of Pagan Online
Get a first look at the intense combat and characters in hack-n-slash action RPG’s first gameplay teaser trailer

December 17, 2018 - Wargaming and Mad Head Games today revealed the first official gameplay teaser trailer for Pagan Online, an intense action RPG launching on PC in 2019. Watch as powerful heroes take on vicious hordes of enemies and battle bosses based on pre-Christian mythology. Plus, get a glimpse of the powerful abilities of the game’s first three characters, in addition to some massive loot drops.

Catch the official gameplay reveal trailer for Pagan Online here:

PEGI: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PG9sMYoasGU

Pagan Online will challenge PC players starting next year, and registration for pre-launch tests known as Trials is open at Pagan-Online.com. The game is developed with an ambition to bring new meaning to the "Action" part of Action RPG, introducing intense and exciting session-based combat that rewards players for being smart and skillful. Character progression incentivizes building and developing a "family" of many unique characters, rather than one character with multiple builds. Combinations of gear, skills and characters will offer synergies that deliver more than the sum of the stats, and can be put to the test in challenging boss fights and other modes. Pagan Online’s combination of storytelling, procedurally-generated arenas, and multiple choices that lead to different encounter types create the feeling of a living and changing world, where every day and fight is different from what came before.

“With Pagan Online we’ve worked hard to deliver a fast-paced and intense combat system that’s easy to pick up but difficult to master,” said Uros Banjesevic, Co-founder and Creative Director of Mad Head Games. “We took inspiration from MOBAs to create unique characters with specific skills and specialties, and when you put them into this type of combat system you end up with a family of fighters that do different things well in different scenarios.”

“The amount of loot in Pagan Online is vast - we want players to be challenged to experiment and find the right combinations of skill boosts and buffs that make their playstyle even more effective,” said Jacob Beucler, Product Director, Wargaming. “This means knowing the different characters, how you want to play them, and what they’re good at, and trying out different loadouts until you find the most deadly combination.”

Pagan Online features difficult missions, high replayability, intense top-down combat and tons of customizability, loot, and mayhem. Join the carnage by signing up for the Trials at: https://www.pagan-online.com/

Zwei: The Arges Adventure to Release for PC on January 24

A Launch Date is Served! Zwei: The Arges Adventure to Release for PC on January 24

XSEED Games Kicks off the New Year with Nihon Falcom’s Original Entry in the Quirky and Unique Zwei Series

Torrance, Calif. — January 11, 2018 — XSEED Games, the independent-minded publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., today announced that Zwei: The Arges Adventure, the original entry in the Zwei series from acclaimed developer Nihon Falcom and stand-alone predecessor to Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection, will launch for Windows PC via Steam, GOG, and The Humble Store by Humble Bundle on Wednesday, January 24. To celebrate this launch, the title will receive a limited-time 10% launch discount from its regular selling price of $19.99/€19.99/£14.99.

Originally released as Zwei!! in Japan, Zwei: The Arges Adventure stands as the most feature-complete version of the game to date, reintegrating a heaping helping of PC-exclusive features that were lost in the Japanese console versions including an Ys-themed typing tutor mini-game, a challenging block puzzler mini-game, and the “Pet Monitor” virtual pet system, along with a wide variety of unlockables plus some all-new content. Come set out on an adventure later this month with a whole continent’s worth of quirky and cute anime-style characters who frequently find themselves in comedically over-the-top situations, exploring every inch of the painterly 2D land of Arges along the way!

About Zwei: The Arges Adventure
Set on the mysterious time-forgotten floating continent of Arges, Zwei: The Arges Adventure follows the exploits of socially awkward teenage step-siblings Pokkle and Pipiro as they find their monotonous, ho-hum village life rudely interrupted by a mysterious figure who steals six holy idols from the local shrine. Pokkle, a master craftsman of terrible puns and wannabe hero, and Pipiro, a sarcastic mage-in-training with an obsession for fashion and a penchant for speaking her mind no matter how bad an idea that may be, jump at the chance to track down the masked thief and return the idols to their village – Pokkle for the fame, glory, and opportunities to make more puns, and Pipiro purely for the hefty reward on offer. Their adventures will take them to every corner of the continent, leading them to encounter a wide array of over-the-top friends and foes as they uncover a far more sinister plot to revive an ancient “Demon Lord” and get a very up close and personal lesson on nearly 500 years’ worth of Arges history.

Originally developed and released in Japan by Nihon Falcom on PC and PlayStation Portable, and ported to the PlayStation 2 in Japan by Taito, Zwei: The Arges Adventure is the direct predecessor to Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection and will be the first time this title has been made officially available in the West. Boasting a gorgeous hand-drawn 2D world populated by a diverse cast of allies and enemies who are constantly on the move, Zwei: The Arges Adventure also represents one of the formative examples of Nihon Falcom's now-signature multi-character action RPG combat, enhanced here with smoother and more intuitive gamepad support and a bevy of other optimizations for modern PC systems. This title also features the series’ unique food-based leveling system, giving players more direct control over the game’s difficulty by allowing them to choose how quickly their characters grow in power: will they save food for later so they can exchange it for better food and more level-ups, gorge early on for a more metered experience gain, or fast altogether for a truly hardcore challenge?

Zwei: The Arges Adventure is developed by Nihon Falcom and will be published worldwide for Windows PC by XSEED Games via Steam, GOG, and the Humble Store by Humble Bundle on January 24 with a 10% launch week discount from its regular selling price of $19.99/€19.99/£14.99. More information about Zwei: The Arges Adventure will be revealed soon via the newly launched Zwei series portal site at http://www.worldofzwei.com. The Windows PC version of Zwei: The Arges Adventure is not rated by the ESRB.

The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game Coming to PC

Asmodee Digital, Fantasy Flight Interactive to Adapt The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game for PC

Best-selling cooperative card game heads to PC for an
immersive digital experience

ROSEVILLE, Minnesota - Dec. 9, 2017 - Asmodee Digital and Fantasy Flight Interactive today announced they are partnering to bring The Lord of the Rings™: The Card Game to PC, as a digitally optimized adaption of the best-selling Living Card Game® from Fantasy Flight Games.

Fantasy Flight Games revolutionized tabletop card games with the highly successful The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game. As a Living Card Game, The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game relied on a fixed distribution of cards to remove randomness from the purchase model and brought players deeper into The Lord of the Rings universe with a focus on immersive, narrative-driven experiences. Now, Fantasy Flight Interactive brings that same philosophy to the digital card game market with The Lord of the Rings Living Card Game—a completely unique digital card game with a non-randomized approach to card purchasing and a focus on cooperative, story-based gameplay.

The Lord of the Rings Living Card Game takes what fans love about the physical card game—adventure, lore, and a chance to play using powerful characters and artifacts—and adapts it for an entirely unique interactive experience on the PC,” said Tim Gerritsen, Head of Fantasy Flight Interactive. “For those unfamiliar with the card game, the digital adaptation invites players to become a part of the fantastical world J.R.R. Tolkien created and embark on new adventures.”

As a single-player experience, The Lord of the Rings Living Card Game tasks players with leading a team of three heroes through a series of narrative campaigns across Middle-earth as they face off against the dark forces of Sauron, controlled by the computer. Players will forge their own fellowships and build decks comprised of ally, event, and equipment cards to face challenges that test their willpower, knowledge, tactics and leadership.
