Please welcome Sharie Kohler to The Qwillery.TQ
: What would you say is your most interesting writing quirk?Sharie
: Hm, probably my most interesting writing “quirk” is that I write my first draft, in its entirety, on my alphasmart – which is simply a word-processing device that only allows me to see about 4-5 sentences at once. It’s excellent for rough draft writing. I never even work on my computer until the rough draft is completed.TQ
: Are you a plotter or a pantster?Sharie
: When I began writing I was a pantser, but now that I have several books under my belt and write, on average, three books a year – I’ve become a plotter out of necessity. It’s just what I’ve evolved into.TQ
: Without giving anything away, what is/are your favorite scene(s) in Night Falls on the Wicked
: Um, tough one. Probably the opening … establishing the setting – which I think is really unique – and, of course the hero/heroine’s first “meet”. Those “meets” are always exciting, tension-filled moments. In NIGHT FALLS ON THE WICKED, Darby and Niklas instantly recognize something out of the ordinary in the other one … and of course there are sparks! JTQ
: In Night Falls on the Wicke
d, who was the most difficult character to write and why? The easiest and why?Sharie
: Oh, probably the heroine, Darby. She’s a white witch, with demons intent on “possessing” her. That made some scenes tricky … sometimes I actually had to write a scene from a demon’s POV as he was “flashing in and out” of Darby … see, it’s even tough to explain. It came together in the book though, but it required some careful crafting. As for easy … I wouldn’t say anything is really easy when it comes to writing a book! ;) It’s always work, but work I love.TQ
: What's next? Sharie
: My next release is VANISH, which I write under the name Sophie Jordan. It’s the sequel to Firelight, my YA debut that has been optioned for film by Mandalay. The script is actually being finished up as I type this. ;)Sharie
: My next paranormal, written under Sharie Kohler, will release in 2012 – no title yet; it’s Darius’s long-awaited story though.TQ
: Thank you for joining us at The Qwillery.Sharie

Sharie Kohler dazzles with the dark, sensual world of the Moon Chasers, where two half-breed lycans are locked in deadly combat over the fate of the world—and their own hearts.
Sorcha is no longer the pitiful teenage orphan who roamed the streets of Paris after her pack was destroyed, but despite all she now has—wealth, beauty, strength—she is still haunted by memories of Jonah, her fellow half-breed who broke her innocent young heart years before, and who now believes her dead. Determined to drive Jonah from her dreams forever, Sorcha vows to kill the witch whose curse first condemned the lycans to soulless immortality . . . doomed to be ruled by their dark passions, yet never truly able to love or be loved.
Still devastated over the girl he failed, Jonah has found purpose as a demon slayer. When a stranger starts stalking the world's most powerful demon witch, he is assigned to kill the huntress before her meddling releases an evil that threatens all mankind.
Face-to-face again at last, can Sorcha and Jonah put their anger and hurt behind them to defeat the darkness . . . and dare they hope to find a love neither dreamed possible?

Now she is thrown into a dark cell with a shadowy shape she can barely see. But Ruby is no ordinary woman. All her life she has been able to sense the emotions of others, and she knows instinctively that while Sebastian does not want to be her enemy, he is in the grip of sensations so dark and primitive that he can barely control them. But amid his surging feelings she can detect passion -- passion for her as a woman. This, she realizes, may be her only hope. In the unrelenting dark, trapped in a hideous prison, can Ruby and Sebastian somehow forge a fragile alliance and break free from their deadly captors to seize a love neither dreamed possible?

LOVE AND LET DIE...
After a savage lycan attack destroyed her parents, Kit March has ignored the rules saying only men can be hunters and dedicated her life to destroying lycans. Her profession is hell on her love life, but she's been resigned to the lack of romance until she meets sinfully sexy European werewolf hunter Rafe Santiago. Unfortunately, Rafe is a man with a mission: eradicate rogue hunters from the American branch...and the foremost name on his list is Kit March.
Rafe has always put business before pleasure, but something about this feisty yet vulnerable woman is doing strange things to a man who has never before allowed his emotions to get the better of him. The merciless hunter excels at eliminating threats, but he doesn't know how to handle the threat Kit poses to his heart.
The world of lycans has always been black and white. But now, suddenly, the rules are changing. Forces that have been brewing for generations put Kit and Rafe in terrible danger, and nothing they confront is quite as it seems...including each other. Is the passion between them just as illusory? Or is it the only thing real?

The Moon Chasers 1
(Pocket, December 26, 2007)
Seemingly overnight, Claire Morgan has transformed: the normally mousy school-teacher is now bold, and her behavior is truly wild. Her eyes gleam silver. Suddenly she's a self-confident femme fatale with a libido that just won't quit. After an impulsive makeover, she's even...dare she say it?...sexy. Is Claire going insane?About Sharie
Then brutally handsome stranger Gideon March tells her she was bitten by a werewolf, and Claire figures he's the insane one. Sure, she was attacked by a nasty dog in a back alley, but this guy stalking her says he's a member of an underground society of lycan hunters -- and his mission is to kill her immediately.
When Claire finally realizes she really is a lycan, there's no turning back -- because by now Claire and Gideon are bound by a hungry passion. If they can't break the curse by the next full moon, Claire's soul will be lost forever and Gideon will be forced to terminate his prey -- a woman dangerously close to devouring him, heart and soul.
SHARIE KOHLER took her adolescent dreaming one step further and penned her first story in the back of her high school Spanish class. This passion led her to pursue a degree in English and History. After several years teaching, Sharie decided it was time to pursue her long-held dream of writing. Now a full time author, she also writes historical romances and young adult romances under the name, Sophie Jordan
. She believes her decision to write paranormal stems from her long-sustained love of horror movies (big fan of Alfred Hitchcock!) and a good love story.
This New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author resides in Houston with her family, juggling deadlines, children, and a husband who loves her cooking. Amid the happy chaos, she finds time to write. You can learn more up to date information about Sharie and her books at her Facebook page
