"'Obscure' seems a little too harsh - they might not be well-known outside of Germany, but this company had quite a reputation in Germany and was considered to be a direct competitor of Junghans, which also comes from the same region (the Black Forest). After a lot of corporate reshuffling it seems that the only remaining product lines are devices used for recording driving times (in trucks). In its heydays, however, this was a reputable and famous company."
