At Home With Anthropologie

At Home With Anthropologie
Berry Garden Pillow from Anthropologie.  The back side (below) is the coraly peach accent colour with a subtle chevron pattern.

Adiabatic Rug has a beautiful pattern and lots of visual interest for an area rug.

Hot pot mats and mittens should be just as pretty as your decor (this is what I tell myself, even though my current ones are ugly and I keep them hidden in the cupboard).  I could change that with these Fiammetta Holders.

I would love to hang this beautiful "A Year In Treetops" Calendar in my kitchen.

Last but not least! The beautiful Verdant Canister would look oh so lovely on my countertop!

Home Lovin

I am obsessed with this woodsy wallpaper from Anthropologie. I almost want to buy one roll to make a statement wall . . .except I'd have to do it on a board or something because I'm still a renter!

My all time favourite home, seen on my blog a few years ago, and found today on Little Green Notebook.
Brooke Shields home in Architectural Digest.  It's quite formal and traditional but very tasteful and classic.

Good Things This Weekend

Good Things This Weekend
The Marion House Book's Friday Files always get the weekend off to a good start, especially with the photo above.

Good Things This Weekend
This Marc by Marc Jacobs Q49 Hillier Hobo in Stone is dreamier in person. I fell for it yesterday and was about to put a gift card at Holt Renfrew to good use, but I needed a little more time before I committed. Waking up this morning thinking about it is a good sign though, I think.

These Anthropologie mugs are a favourite, I use them every morning. They have become my favourite coffee mugs. I need a large mug for my morning dose of hot coffee, and the grip of the mug needs to be comfortable. These fit the bill so well and they are very inexpensive - in case one needs to be replaced. I have a set of three - my initials.

I love Voluspa candles because they actually smell as good as they look. Too often you find a candle that has a beautiful tin but nearly makes you fall over with a dreadful scent, not the case here. Yesterday I saw these pink ones on display and they smell sweet and fruity and amazing. I really want one!

Good Things This Weekend
This bag is currently available at Chapters / Indigo, as part of a delightful Emma Bridgewater series (notebooks, umbrellas, paper, mugs, etc). I love the message on the front, I just wish the bag was slightly bigger so that I could fit my binders and marking in it!

Think Pink?

All day today I've been bombarded by great things that just happen to involve the colour pink! Maybe it has something to do with the fact that it is becoming increasingly cold and wintery. Pink always feels somewhat sweet and warm and inviting, as long as it isn't too bubblegum cutesy. I love it the most when it is paired with something pearly or gold. Here are a few great pink ideas:

I think one thing that bodes so well for Anthropologie is that their photographs always showcase the clothes so perfectly. Each photo accentuates the sense of whimsy that Anthro tends to live by, it makes you want to get in the clothes and go off on a little adventure. These are a few of my faves that are currently on the website.

Anthropologie Catalogue Shoot

I really think that Anthropologie has managed to turn their catalogue into a mini-magazine. The term "catalogue" does not really do justice to the quality of this shoot. These photos could easily pass for a style feature in several of the fashion magazines currently on newstands.
Can't you just feel the crisp-ness in the air looking at these?? I think fall is officially here! Bring on the scarves, wools, cashmere, tweeds, tights, and yes . . .Ugg Boots!
